Commercial Support Analyst – Global FMCG
Our client is a global FMCG supplier recognized as an Employer of choice. They look after their staff well and foster a culture of opportunity and career development.
This role is responsible for delivering both commercial and financial support to the Key customer account team. It will act as a key link between both the finance and customer development team sitting within the Account Team.
The Role:
- Sales Reporting – you will be responsible for running daily sales reports and supporting the Customer Account Managers (CAMs) in understanding in-month performance.
- Pre and Post-Evaluation Promo Planning - providing proactive commercial analysis and advice to CAMs and Customer Director on the efficiency of the forward promotional plan.
- Commercial Analysis – you will support the Customer Account Managers and Customer Director on understanding performance and offering commercial insight on issue rather than the running of reports.
- Joint Business Plan (JBP) Review – working in conjunction with CAMs to track JBP performance, actuals v forecast, what’s has been invoiced what is outstanding, projected Half Year and Full Year position.
- Price Alignment – ensuring a robust and accurate price file is maintained between the Customer and the business to minimise disputes and ensure accuracy in the reported number. This involves working with UK pricing team, CAMs and Customer Commercial Team to highlight and correct price issues in a timely manner.
- Balance Sheet Management - working with CAMs and Customer Director to ensure the business has correct accruals in place to pay invoices as they fall due.
- Trade Terms – you will be responsible for coordinating the management of trade terms. This will involve working across account and departments such as credit control, customer development and finance.

Your Experience:
- Degree or equivalent commercial experience
- Highly numeric with attention to detail
- At least 1-2 years’ experience in FMCG or other fast paced environment.
- Strong experience with Excel and other reporting tools
- Experience working in process orientated environment
