Business Development Manager - UK Based
Location - South of England (London – Field based)
Salary - up to £45,000 + up to 30% commission + Car Allowance

Are you a strong, experienced and capable Business Development Manager? With experience in the GAS/ENVIRONMENTAL monitoring industry?
My client develops and deploys robust and smart IoTinstrumentation for environmental monitoring. My client’s fantastic innovative technology is used to detect ground gas risks. My client’s technology platform works across different vertical markets and they now need a Business Development Manager who is an experienced sales hunter to come on board to help deliver a commercial strategy against ambitious targets they have set themselves. My client is an innovative technology company and wants someone to join them on this journey.
The Business Development Manager will have previous successful experience in introducing and scaling new products and services into the Oil/Gas & Environmental industries. Previous start-up experience in a fast paced strategic role would be advantageous for this position. My client has a very good offering and a unique place in the market. This is the first position in the UK and a chance for the right Business Development Manager to be part of this great start up.
Responsibilities:
- Lead on all business development & commercial activities in the company
- Build, shape and implement winning strategies in different verticals
- Manage marketing plan to ensure return on investment
- Implement KPIs to track sales performance
Requirements:
- Experience of the global gas/environmental instrumentation market OR Specific vertical market experience (Remediation, Waste, O&G) at Business Development Manager level or equivalent
- Building, managing & selling through distribution networks.
- Selling products & services to environmental consultants
- Sales experience including at least 3 years in a strong BDM role in a similar industry
- Experience implementing and optimising CRM processes & systems
- Strong understanding of modern marketing principles and activities
- Willingness to travel in-line with business needs
