The Company are one of the best known Irish domestic brands, employing over 3,000 staff from their head office in Dublin.  The Company is currently undergoing a period of rapid change and is at the forefront of development in terms of their digital and mobile platforms.

The Job:

This is an exciting job within The Company’s Enterprise Services Business (ESB) unit, focussed on their digital and mobile application development.

Specialising in middleware, you will be a part of a high-performing, highly regarded, software development team working with cutting edge technologies (e.g. SOA, NoSQL DBs etc.) and working on exciting projects that will have meaningful impacts on the performance of The Company.

The Person:

This is a demanding role and The Company are looking for someone with solid experience working in a middleware development role as part of a larger software development project team.  You will need to have substantial Java experience including Spring as well as Messaging Orientated Middleware (MOM) development and experience (or understanding of) Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) design methodologies.

You will most likely also have a professional IT qualification, knowledge of API management and some experience using ESB or IBM products.

Finally, to fit in well with the team, you’ll need to have good communication skills with an ability to interact with non-IT departments using non-technical, business-friendly language and ambition to succeed and grow.

The exact salary will be made commensurate with experience but expect, as a guide, a basic salary of €55,000 - €65,000 plus one of the strongest benefits programmes in Ireland and good bonus potential.
