The Role:

You will be accountable for the creation and delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Plan across the Business, Group Risk and Compliance functions. Reporting directly to the Group Head of Compliance you will provide guidance, support and advice to the business on compliance matters and contribute to the growth and development of the business at a senior organisational and commercial level.

Responsibilities:

The role has an impact on the business by influencing decisions through the delivery of recommendations and technical expertise in the following areas:

• Promoting knowledge-sharing and awareness of regulatory developments across the industry, through working groups and forums to drive consistent high standards that are aligned to regulatory expectations and business needs.
• Developing and maintaining key control frameworks to assesses the levels of efficiency and compliance with prevailing regulatory requirements
• Providing executive summaries and reports to Operational Risk Committees, Audit Committees and Board
• Undertake compliance monitoring activities including the review of client files and associated documents in line with agreed Compliance Monitoring Programme and Quality Assurance Plan
• Project manage compliance risk assessments for the business
• To act as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer for the business
• To act as the Data Protection and Information Security champion within the business
• Represent the Company at relevant industry events
• Assisting the business in all aspects of Central Bank ONR Reporting

Experience & Skills required:

• Professional qualification in risk management and / or compliance and / or legal
• Extensive experience of compliance with exposure to risk management
• Experience of the life and pensions or employee benefits sectors, preferably with experience in one or more of the pensions, advice and investment consulting / investment management areas
• Experience of working in a MiFID authorised environment
