Junior Quantity Suveyor

My client, a leading Mechanical and Electrical Contractor, currently have a requirement for a Junior Quantity Surveyor, with Electrical experience.  This is an exciting role for a Junior QS to develop with a rapidly growing organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Operational procurement activity and contract support, working with the Procurement Department.
• Ensure accurate and consistent reporting. 
• Report on commercial trends on the project.
• Administration and reviewing of Contracts, and ensuring compliance and attention to project timeline.
• Overseeing and forecasting Cash flow of project.
• Analysis of issues & risks and provision of data as required by Management. 
• Ensure observance of Contract Schedule and provide weekly reports to construction team on planned versus actual progress.  
• Review all incoming correspondence to identify contractually critical items and to initiate replies. 
• Ensure Site Team is adhering to all Contractual Requirements and providing advice and monitoring of same.  

Qualifications and skills:

• Degree qualified in either Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics. 
• 1 to 4 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying roles in a Construction/Engineering business desired but will consider a recent graduate.
• Electrical Experience required. 
• Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
