The Company:
The Company are a well-known Global Bank and a Fortune 500 business. Their Dublin City office houses a range of functions including a significant IT development and analytics lab. The bank is growing strongly at the moment and investing heavily in its IT infrastructure/architecture as part of a Global Strategy to drive growth and find efficiencies.
The Job:
This Software development job sits within The Bank’s Global Data Lab business, this lab is spread across various Technology Hubs (e.g. London) with a significant presence here in Dublin.
The technical team here and are working on a utility toolkit to enable more efficient management and sharing of data for both business and regulatory reasons.
The development strategy seeks to make use of re-usable components to provide lightweight functional REST services to transform and share data, facilitate change control of APIs and schemas, improved data management capabilities etc…
This is a full SDLC development role and you will be involved in all stages of the development with the opportunity to input into product design and execution.
The Person:
The Bank is looking for strong software engineers with experience working on solutions dealing with Big Data sets, FS would be ideal but other sectors are of interest also (e.g. telco, utilities etc). You will need to have at least 2 years hands-on front Java experience (such as collections…) with practical knowledge of Threading and familiarity with Restful web services. Experience with Spring frameworks is a must and SQL and NoSQL database exposure would be a plus.

The exact salary will be commensurate with experience, but expect as a guide a base salary of €65,000 - €75,000 plus bonus, and a full benefits package.
