This newly created role of AP Manager will offer a broad ranging exposure across both procurement and accounting.

The role provides a platform for continued personal development and progression. You will gain exposure and opportunities to interact at all levels of the business and develop relationships with senior management while contributing to the continued growth of the airline.

Managing two persons your role will

  • Explore possibilities with team to improve the AP process and take initiatives to improve
  • Assist in scheduling of payments and input into cash-flow models
  • You liaise with operations and engineering departments on new supplier procurement, enhancing credit terms where possible
  • Liaise with budget holders for invoice approvals/dispute resolution
  • Processing of invoices and expenses related to allocated creditors (posting to the AP Ledger, co-ordination of coding and approval process, payment and filing)
  • Processing all relevant creditor payments on the AP Ledger and the online banking system
  • Assisting the trainee accountants with calculating accruals and prepayments
  • Dealing with supplier queries and preparation of month-end creditor reconciliations
  • Assisting with month-end AP Ledger close out on the SAGE accounting system
  • Raising purchase orders & processing PO receipts on the Purchase Order Tracker
  • Preparation of month-end AP reports, analysis and other ad hoc reports as required
  • Assisting the Senior Accountant with cost reviews, budget coding analysis and other queries
  • Other duties and projects as may be assigned by senior finance management.

Minimum Skills & Experience Required:

  • An experienced background working in a multi-currency Accounts Payable function
  • Proficient IT skills essential – MS Office Excel / Word / Outlook
  • A thorough working knowledge of SAGE or similar Accounts Payable accounting package
  • Ideally you have experience with coaching a small team of AP administrators
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills allowing them to work to tight deadlines and prioritise tasks appropriately
  • An aptitude for working as part of a team
  • Ability to be flexible and use own initiative
